With the Patriot Sprint tour back at the track for an exciting night of double features, some of the regular divisions took to the stage as well. It was an all-around intense night, as the drivers put their cars to the test before it all ends for the year. TRACK CHAMPIONS ARE CROWNED AS SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

Kayla Peting On a perfectly cool Friday night with over 100 plus cars sitting in the pits, excitement and anticipation filled the air. There were track championships on the line in several divisions. The night was filled with solid racing and several great competitive features as the champions looked to wrap up their titles. The SUNOCO Race Fuels and Insinger Performance Modifieds put on an intense show to wrap up the regular season. The battle was on for former track champion Brian Malcom who was second in points going into the night trailing points leader Brett Tonkin by 124 points. Short Track Super Series to Sanction Penn Can Speedway’s Modified ‘King of the Can’ SUSQUEHANNA, PA – BD Motorsports Media LLC will experience a homecoming on September 26 and competitors of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco will benefit. JIMMY ZACHARIAS MAKES HISTORY AT PENN CAN SPEEDWAY

History was made Friday night at the Penn Can Speedway as Jimmy Zacharias became the second driver in the speedway’s 65-year history to win both the premier division, SUNOCO and Insinger Performance Modifieds, and the Insinger Performance Sportsman features in the same night. Grant Hilfiger was the first driver to take the prestigious title. Zacharias bested a strong field of 38 Modified competitors and 29 Sportsman competitors to put his name in the record books.
